5K Fun and Run Race
For just $25, you can register for this 5K race. This year celebrates its sixth year. The race will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. For participating, you’ll receive a tee shirt.
Pumpkin Chunkin’
Later in the fall, you don’t want to miss the Pumpkin Chunkin’s festival at Farmville Parks. Just as the name implies, this consists of hurling real pumpkins that weigh between five and 20 pounds. However, the most exciting part is that you’ll use some kind of homemade contraption. Whoever catapults their pumpkin the farthest wins.
